Community Halls
Council owns numerous community halls in Tokoroa, Tirau, Arapuni, Puketurua, Waotu, Tapapa and Upper Atiamuri. All halls are managed by their Hall Management Committee. Council is responsible for the hall maintenance and the committee manages the day to day administration along with bookings and payments. Read More
Libraries
There are two full libraries in the district. Our largest library is in Tokoroa and can be found in Mannering Street. The Putāruru Library is coupled with the Putāruru Service Centre in Overdale Street. We have a library outreach programme operating from The Dog in Tīrau, called LibraryLink. Read More

The South Waikato Sport and Events Centre is a multi-purpose facility that has the capacity to satisfy a wide variety of business meetings, sports events and private functions. Read More
Swimming Pools
The South Waikato Indoor Swimming Pool Complex was built in 1995 and officially opened on 11 February 1996. The doors did however, really open in December 1995! This pool complex consists of a main 25 metre by 13.3 metre pool with six lanes. Read More
